| Bio: | This work, the discovery of the path of the Priestess through the Gateway that is Babalon, is my passion and my challenge. While my eyes may very well burn with desire the road is difficult and perilous even when it is delivering success and ecstacy. Sometimes it may make no sense. Sometimes it may lead me down false roads so that i can only retrace my steps and go again in a different direction. In this realm those of you who know me may find that i am not always the woman you have come to expect. Sometimes it makes me angry and sometimes it makes me lonely and sometimes it makes me cry. Sometimes I am a child here and sometimes a man. I hope you enjoy the journey with me, and that you can find something in it that aids you on your own journey and encourages your heart when the path gets dim and all the gods are gone. In the beginning – b’reshith – there was the formless void. There was no god, no man, no force to shape. But a power existed and a potential. The first power was desire, the key to Babalon. Desire stirred the formless void and woke it from its sleep. Shocked and angry in the shattered silence force was born. But the force was without direction; desire drove it endlessly outward, expanding in all directions. It was Chaos, the chaos formed from the utterance of the logos. Chaos sought the object of its desire and so it was answered by the first vessel who is Binah and Babalon. And there was understanding. This Journal is specifically to house my meditations and musings regarding Babalon and the formulae of her work. It is very personal work and travels in mostly uncharted territory. There are some things that it is not. It is not a sex journal, feminist journal or a journal that speaks only to and about women. I believe intensely in the necessity of the masculine and the feminine. I believe that men and women are different and that to deny that difference is to deny our participation in the divine theater. I believe that all forms of sexuality are good in as much as all those involved become happier more fulfilled people thereby. I have no judgements on what can make another person happy, it took me long enough just to figure out what makes me happy. Finally, i don't care about implications of any of this in governmental politics. I believe in whatever is the most liberating and allows individuals to become precisely who they are. My bottom line is always freedom. If you are curious and would like to have general idea of what my take is on Babalon please look at the essay entitled "The Heresy of Babalon": http://www.lvx-oto.org/classes.shtml This is a public journal, although i may from time to time make friends only entries that are more personal in nature. If you would like to be in the friends only filter please ask nicely :) | |||||
